Martin Luther King "I have a dream"

I am posting this speech because it is one of the most powerful speeches i've heard

MLK'S Letter

I think Matin Luther King is writing his letter to the law enforcement, the courts and any other people in charge of racial segregation. He wrote the letter because he was taken to jail for a peaceful protest against segregation. He believed that segregation laws needed to be fixed in courts rather than in the streets. I think he wrote his letter to certain people because those people where the people who could do something and maybe listen to what he had to say.

Technology Today

No I have not changed my opinion, I think that technology like the internet does give us some misinformation but with common sense and checking for credible writers you can pick and choose what articles. I also think that the internet has made us a little lazier because looking up information on the internet is faster and easier than looking through books.

Information Technology and Journalism

I don't think journalism will ever go away because there is always going to be a group of people who want to read credible work. Bloggers are good for expressing different points of view because they can write freely and people can comment on what they write about. This way you can see a wide variety of ideas and new questions come up where as with journalism there is a business putting out the newspaper and someone has to look at an article before its posted so journalists can only write freely to a degree.

Google, Wikipedia, and the Internet

I think the internet has made us very lazy people. its made it easier for us to look up information without have to search through books and pages of reading. Instead we can turn on our computer, type in any question and then we have and answer within a few minutes.I believe one day everything will be on the computer rather than paper. In Palo Alto they have begun putting all the city work and information on ipads instead of paper. All this new technology has even made a difference in the way we interact with our peers. When I walk around I see the majority of people are on ipads or cell phone instead of engaging in conversation with people face to face. This isn't true for everyone but I think alot of people get sucked into all the cool new technology. I know from personal experience that all this technology makes it hard to communicate with people. My friend got an Iphone and now that shes constantly on it playing games and things I can barley have a conversation with her.
